The information being put on these websites are the result of an iterative process between teacher, parent and student. Presently, we think we've solved most of the major logistical problems, however you still can expect format and content changes as we respond to feedback. Let us know of any glaring problems. Japanese cut paper screens due Friday

week of 17th of March 2008
Students in creative arts are making japanese style screens with cut paper
images.  They are due the 27th

week of 3rd of March 2008
Creative Arts:  Collographs due at the end of the period on Wednesday.

week of 25th of February 2008
Students in Creative Arts have 3 prints from their Collagraph plate due on
Thursday the 7th.

week of 4th of February 2008
Creative Arts is working on Pattern/Form Drawings.  They will be due early
next week.

week of 28th of January 2008
Students in Creative Arts are doing Pattern/Form Drawings.  They have a
series of 8 patterns, four geometric and four organic, drawn in their
sketchbook due Friday.

week of 14th of January 2008
Students in Creative Arts must have their Pop Culture Icon Puppet done by
the day of the final.  For the final students will be performing short
"plays" with their puppets.

week of 10th of December 2007
Students in Creative Arts are creating Popular Culture Icon Puppets.  They
should have the face done by Wednesday and begin working on the body. 
Each student will need to have a Dossier for their subject by the end of
the project.

week of 3rd of December 2007
Students in Creative Arts are beginning a pop-culture icon project.  They
will be making puppets of their favorite pop-culture character. 

week of 26 November 2007
Students have their Screen prints due Wednesday the 5th.  This project is
the majority of their progress report grade.  The requirements are 5
clean, well printed, signed and numbered prints in two colors, one hand
cut stencil and one hand drawn.

week of 12 November 2007
Creative arts is beginning Screen Printing.

week of 5 November 2007
In creative arts students have the rest of this week to finish
their Papier Mache, and will beginning Screenprinting.  They must bring a
clean light colored T shirt in if they want to print on one.  

week of 29th October 2007
Creative Arts Papier Mache projects will be due Wed of next week.  Next
project Screenprinting.  Students can make T-Shirts for this project.

week of 22nd October 2007
Students in Creative Arts are beginning their Papier Mache projects. 
Everything up to now: Sketchbooks, Collage, Colorwheel, Plaster sculpture,
and Linoleum block print are graded and will be included in this quarter
grade.

week of 15th October 2007
Students in Creative Arts will need to have their Linoleum Block prints
done by Wednesday of this week and will be starting a Papier-Mache project
Tuesday.

week of 1 October 2007

Students should turn in their plaster sculptures, color wheel,
monochromatic value scale, and reflection questions.  

New assignment is Linoleum Block Printing: Self Portrait as an Object.

week of 24 September 2007

Plaster Sculptures due Friday the 28th.  Colorwheels and Monochromatic
Value Scales should be in the sketch book along with a written reflection.

week of 17 September 2007

Still working on our carved plaster sculptures in Creative Arts.

This week in addition students will be making a color wheel and a
monochromatic value scale in their sketchbooks.

Still waiting on some of those contracts and lab fees!

week of 11 September 2007

There are still many students who have not turned in their Safety and
Learning Contract or their 5$ lab fee (for the entire year).  

Students in Creative Arts will be learning how to mix a cast plaster of
paris for a carved sculpture assignment.  They will be creating their own
"cultural artifact".  As artists we are creators of culture.  Students
have been studying and identifying cultural artifacts in their freshmen
seminar and will now be using tools to carve a plaster sculpture into
their own artifact.

week of 4 September 2007

Homework for Creative Arts is for students who have not brought in their
safety contract and lab fee to do so by Friday (this is for points).

Sketchbooks will be finished by Thursday.
